Turn everyday purchases into automated savings with Numerica’s Round Up to Savings! Learn how you can start making your spare change work for you.
Make everyday purchases part of your savings plan with Round Up to Savings. The following FAQs contain everything you need to know to get started.
Round Up to Savings works like an automatic savings account. Your everyday debit card transactions are rounded up to the next dollar amount, and the difference is deposited into your designated Numerica savings account.
The roundups from your debit card purchases are accumulated and transferred daily from your checking account to your savings account. (For example, a $5.43 debit charge would be rounded up to $6. The difference of $0.57 goes into your savings account).
Pay yourself first. It’s one of the most frequent — and best — pieces of financial advice we can offer our members. Yet it’s one of the most ignored financial health practices.
Automatic savings plans make it less of a hassle to save money and keep it saved. Setting up automatic savings transfers each month helps get rid of the worry and excuses we all make to avoid saving.
Use your Bonus Checking debit card for everyday purchases such as groceries, coffee, or online purchases. In other words, spend like you normally would. We round up each purchase and automatically transfer it to your savings account. It’s that simple!
You select the savings account you want the money transferred to. Pro tip: Transfer to your Bonus Saver account and earn 2.05% APY on balances up to $2,500 when you meet the qualifiers.
Other Round Up ideas: Move the change into your child’s savings account or set up a savings account you’ll use for charity. It's amazing how quickly your spare change adds up!

If you'd rather, stop into a branch or call 800.433.1837. We can help you set up your transfer from Bonus Checking to a designated savings account.
Don’t have Bonus Checking? We can help with that, too.
If your available balance is at $25 or less, the transfer will be suspended until the available balance is at $25.01 or more. This is to prevent any potential overdraft situations. There is no need to stop the service or enroll again. It’s only paused until the available balance is above the limit.
Once you have opted in, simply check your designated savings account balance to see your round up transfer deposits appear at the end of each day. Watch your spare change grow!
