HOW DO I OPEN A GROWTH CHECKING ACCOUNT?

Applying is easy. You can launch an online application now. You can also stop by a branch or schedule an appointment. Don’t forget your parent or guardian — an adult joint account holder is required for this account. 

DO I NEED TO KEEP A MINIMUM BALANCE IN MY GROWTH CHECKING ACCOUNT?

Nope. You just need a minimum deposit of $25 to open the account, but there isn’t a minimum balance to keep it open.

DO I RECEIVE A DEBIT CARD WITH A GROWTH CHECKING ACCOUNT?

Yes, you have the option to receive a Numerica Visa debit card with your new account. It’s free. Use it to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted. You can also withdraw cash and make transactions at ATMs.

DOES NUMERICA OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS?

Yes! Numerica’s $tarting Off Right Scholarships are given annually to high school seniors enrolling in college, trade school, or vocational programs. 

ARE GROWTH CHECKING ACCOUNTS INSURED?

Yes, credit union deposits are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) per individual up to $250,000. This includes youth accounts. The $250,000 in coverage applies to each share owner, per insured credit union, for each account ownership category.

At Numerica, we protect the information privacy of our younger members. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information about children under age 13 from our website. If a person sends personal information to us through any online service and identifies himself or herself as being under the age of 13, we will only use that information to respond directly to that child or to notify the parents. We will not retain such information unless we obtain parental consent.
