Meet Lars Gilberts

Bio

We might call him Lars, but to many he’s known as Mr. ALICE. It’s a reflection of his two-decade career working on behalf of people represented by that acronym — Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. It’s a community that is working hard and still struggling. In his role with Numerica, he helps people grow in financial resilience and freedom. He advocates for making systems more just, efficient, and effective. And he helps tailor products and services to work for unbanked, underbanked, and minority populations.

Lars’ community connections run deep. Past service includes Family Promise, Rotary 21, Blue Door Theater, Innovia Foundation, Fairchild Air Force Base, Eastern Washington University, and Washington State University, among others. He also teaches entrepreneurship at Whitworth University. Before joining Numerica, he was CEO of Spokane’s University District.

After spending much of his life traveling and living around North America and Europe, Lars returned to his home base — the Pacific Northwest — in 2017. After 15 years living in the subtropics, he’s all about making the most of each season. Yep, even the frigid ones.
